چکیده

While X-ray emission from active galactic nuclei (AGN) is common, the detailed physics behind this not well understood. This in part because high quality broadband spectra are required to precisely derive fundamental parameters of such as photon index, folding energy, and reflection coefficient. Here we present values for 33 AGN observed 105 month Swift/BAT campaign with coordinated archival XMM-Newton NuSTAR observations. We look correlations between various coronal addition physical properties black hole mass Eddington ratio. Using our empirical model, find good fits almost all objects. The energy was constrained 30 When comparing Seyfert 1 - 1.9 2 galaxies, a K-S test indicates that have lower ratios indices than objects p-values $5.6 \times 10^{-5}$ $7.5 10^{-3}$ respectively. recover known correlation index coefficient Baldwin effect. Finally, inclusion Swift BAT data significantly reduces uncertainties spectral compared without data.

X-ray Reflections on Agn

X-ray reflection generates much of the spectral complexity in the X-ray spectra of AGN. It is argued that strong relativistic blurring of the reflection spectrum should commonly be expected from objects accreting at a high Eddington rate. The good agreement found between the local density in massive black holes and the energy density in quasar and AGN light requires that the accretion which bui...

A Fundamental Parameters Approach to X-ray Line-Profile Fitting

A convolution approach to X-ray powder line-profile fitting is developed in which the line shape is synthesized from the Cu Ks emission profile, the dimensions of the diffractometer and the physical variables of the specimen. In addition to the integrated intensities and 20 positions of the line profiles, the parameters that may be fitted include the receiving-slit width, the receiving-slit len...

The X-ray spectral properties of X-ray selected AGN : ROSAT spectra of EMSS AGN

Using a sample of 63 AGNs extracted from the Einstein Extended Medium Sensitivity Survey (EMSS), we study the X-ray spectral properties of X-ray selected AGN in the 0.1−2.4 keV ROSAT band. These objects are all the EMSS AGN detected with more than 300 net counts in ROSAT PSPC images available from the public archive (as of May 31, 1995). A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test on the redshift and luminosity ...

X - Ray Observations of WISE - Selected AGN

We report on a NuSTAR and XMM-Newton program that has observed a sample of three extremely luminous, heavily obscured WISE-selected AGN at z ∼ 2 in a broad X-ray band (0.1 − 79 keV). The parent sample, selected to be faint or undetected in the WISE 3.4μm (W1) and 4.6μm (W2) bands but bright at 12μm (W3) and 22μm (W4), are extremely rare, with only ∼ 1000 so-called “W1W2-dropouts” across the ext...

Hard X-ray Variability of AGN

Aims. Active Galactic Nuclei are known to be variable throughout the electromagnetic spectrum. An energy domain poorly studied in this respect is the hard X-ray range above 20 keV. Methods. The first 9 months of the Swift/BAT all-sky survey are used to study the 14 – 195 keV variability of the 44 brightest AGN. The sources have been selected due to their detection significance of > 10σ. We test...
